Educational and fun workshops that build knowledge and understanding of Indigenous cultural expression without promoting stereotypes.  

Bow and Arrow Making Workshops – Minimum of 5 participants, instruction on how to make a traditional long bow and arrow by hand.  This workshop is 7 to 14 days and requires the physical capacity to work with your hands and body.  We offer the traditional teachings that come with being a bow maker. Learners will interact with the Elders and facilitators, learning to smudge, understanding protocols of hunting and gathering from an indigenous world view.  Learn about the medicines used in the hunting traditions. Protocols of the Hunt and feast.  So much more.  Graduation Ceremony and target practice will take place.  (requirement is a clean criminal background check and no weapons restrictions – 18 and older / 16 with guardian permission)

Dream Catcher Workshops – Learn to make a dream catcher - how to make one, how not to appropriate and respectfully care for the dream catcher. The difference between a cultural and medicinal dream catcher, refreshments – half day workshop – materials supplied

Drum Making Workshop – Hand drum making – half day/ to full day workshops available, Elder and facilitator support, minimum 10 – 15 participants up to 25-30 – Learn the cultural and ceremonial significance of the drum, How to respect and care for the drum, Feasting the drum or Birthing the drum and songs! Refreshments provided.
